State Of The Art Shipment Management, Monitoring, and Tracking
We manage each shipment from pickup to delivery, keeping round the clock track of intermodal shipments with our updated, accurate shipment status reports through EDI interface between railroads, Stevens Transport, and our customers. And, we also monitor the temperatures and mechanical settings of equipment in transit with a network of monitoring stations throughout our international system in order to ensure on-time and damage-free delivery.
How We Do It
Expedited and dedicated trains carry our trailers using low-vibration, articulated flatcars to eliminate slack. Because of existing railroad interchange agreements and cars mounted with steel wheels, we move trailers from one railroad to another -- or other long distances -- with minimum handling. State of the art, high speed overhead cranes expedite ramping and deramping while keeping our trailers and their contents safe. Strategically located intermodal facilities in major hub markets ensure efficient pickup and delivery of trailers by our power units.
