Stevens, we communicate directly with our customers through electronic
means; thus, providing them with all pertinent shipping and routing data,
while also allowing for the automatic processing of banking transactions.
We utilize the KLEINSCHMIDT Inc., "Value-Added
Network (VAN)" which permits the interchange of documents
in any format with any domestic or international firm directly or via
interconnection with other networks. The system allows for electronic
customer invoicing, load tendering with detailed freight information,
and the creation of status reports of their comprehensive pickup and delivery
schedules. Transactions can be completed through direct deposits into
financial institutions and the wiring of funds into specified accounts.
Finally, the transactional results can be monitored as both Stevens and
our customers receive confirmation notices with regards to the electronic
invoicing and shipping status.
